_ after a shortish drive down from dallas (by our warped summer standards), we arrived in austin just as the sun was setting. here's the view down from south congress. we were starving, so we headed to one of austin's trailer park food courts.
_ set in an unpaved parking lot, these places are an institution now.
_ we parked our car and walked under lanterns...
_ ...and went to torchy's tacos. as you can see, it's a truck. this is massive in austin, and we saw these things everywhere, with different carts catering to different tastes: barbecue, sushi, cupcakes (more on that later).
_ also common in austin: beautiful waitstaff.
