things richa likes in nashville, tennessee

_ our friend richa just moved from new york city to nashville a few months ago, and though she (kind of) misses new york, she's also found lots of things she likes in nashville. here's one of them, the sign right before you turn onto nashville's famed music row!

_ though she didn't care much for antebellum architecture before she moved, richa loves the columns that are all over nashville. she even has a few in her apartment. look, they're right there. there! where she's pointing!

_ she also loves her dentil moulding.

_ in nashville you have to drive pretty much everywhere. but she doesn't mind, as it means she can get a car! some idiot dinged her car 3 days after she bought it, but it doesn't matter. you can barely see it.

_ more driving means less drinking, so richa's on the soda water more than normal. but, you know what? soda water is the best drink ever!

_ richa likes this guy, lance, because he's 'maybe the friendliest person' she's met here, and knows about mel's diner and their amazing chicken dumplings. and, in richa's words, he 'is loved by everyone who knows him, is smart and will drink mixed rum beverage from the Solo cup I pour down his throat while he is immersed in the Melrose pool and I am leaving, but not wasting, my drink'. we vouch for all this, he's a really nice guy.

_ casey and ashley. 'could they be any prettier? prom king and queen of 20-something nashville.'

_ neil, who enters the like list because he and meghan 'walked me to my car after the blake shelton concert at the ryman auditorium'. and this was before they even knew her. they invite richa to museums and parties, and the mere thought of them gets her all warm and fuzzy.

_ doug. as richa says: 'love him b/c he barely knew me on the boat trip and literally swam to a stranger’s boat carrying my bottle of wine to borrow their corkscrew so he could open it, recork it and swim it back to me on our boat when I was too shy to go do it myself'. that's friendship!

_ doug's girlfriend... an upbeat, upbeat girl, despite appearances.

_ we were out at rebar because it was this guy's birthday: scott, who richa likes because a) nice dude, and b) he moved to nashvegas from la, so they can talk about the lifestyle change.

_ she also likes guys with guitars hanging out on the decks of places, just playing whatever.

_ and cummins station too. not sure why though. the name?

_ this the frist center for the visual arts, a museum that richa likes so much that she not only points at it to indicate preference, but she also volunteers there!

_ back home, she really likes her massive storage unit. in nyc this would have been $250, or a freshman's studio apartment, and here in nashville it's free! well, it's a free suplement to an apartment rental, but... man, it's big enough for stacks of old records and a sitar's case.

_ in the morning there was yet more things to like. here we are in percy warner park, on the 2.5 mile hiking trail. that tree there's the best. you know, the one she's pointing at.
