_ we got to the farm only to find out that we were beaten by the wholesaler's truck, taking every box from the early harvest... the proprietor found one in the shed though, and it's ripening in the car.
_ little rock is bill's town, and his influence is everywhere, people walk past with his nose, his hair, the hotels are louche and expansive, from another time.
_ shantae and shawn were hiding out from the heat wave beneath the overhang of an access stairwell to a hotel parking garage.
_ she'd half-finished braiding his hair back, but couldn't shake hands with her correct hand because she was holding the other half in place.
_ in bill's home state, politics as usual. we tried to visit his favorite lunch spot, where he'd set up a 'war room' in a back corner, but it was closed. quiet streets in the state capitol. reminds me of jackson mississippi...
_ we were lost and he showed us the way (out the door, six blocks down on your left). sadly the way was closed, this being a quiet saturday morning.

great blog. it’s like I am traveling around the country while sitting on the couch. beautiful shots capturing a world very different to the one I know. I’m looking forward to see where you all end up next. keep it up and good luck. RB
