_ hungry as ever, we were told to check this place out over the train tracks. the rain had swept back in, and there was a line out the door, so to beat the weather we got to talking with people in the parking lot. ricky here is a repo man, and he recounted for us a few choice incidents in his career.

_ only a week ago he was sent to a house to reclaim a jeep cherokee. he had the car rigged up to his tow truck, ready to go, and knocked on the door of the house to let the late-paying owner know. of course the owner was less than happy to see his jeep almost towed, so he but up a fight somewhat. pushing turned to shoving, and eventually ricky had to clock him across the jaw. he showed us his ring, which, unfortunately, did 'some damage'.

_ he was covered in scars from all sorts of other encounters, including a motorcycle crash in the early-thousands that put him in a coma for four months. he had to relearn movement and speech, but seemed pretty proficient in both. at coyote bluff, he ate alone, but when he left he rapped on the glass partition by our table, we all waved.

_ we always ask the waitress what she recommends, and here they said 'hamburger from hell'. that's a half-pound of beef with grilled jalapenos and smothered in habanero sauce. it has massive taste buoyed by the spice, and at the end we mixed up the juices with ketchup and mayonnaise, and dipped fries. at our table there was little speech, more satisfied sighing.
